Osita Chidoka makes a call to palace of His Royal Highness Nnamdi Oruche, Okeife II, Eze Ugodinaobi
Today the 30th of October, we kick off the rally with a grassroots tour of Ekwusigo Local Government. Our first port of call is the palace of His Royal Highness Nnamdi Oruche, Okeife II, Eze Ugodinaobi – the Eze Ozubulu.
As usual, our consultations start and kick off with visits to the traditional rulers of the local government areas, to inform them of the kick off of our journey, and solicit their support.
Ozubulu is very dear and important to me, because it is my “ikwu nne“, my maternal homestead. My grandmother who is from Ozubulu is still alive and her influence was quite great in shaping my life and destiny till date. I spent a greater part of my life as a young boy in Ozubulu.
Coming to Ozubulu therefore is a homecoming for me.
Meeting the youthful yet highly esteemed Igwe is also, always an honour and pleasure as he has always been of great support and encouragement.
As part of the welcoming activities, I was gifted a ram which as you all can see, was too stubborn to sit still for photo shoots.
